FUEL IN LEBANON
Lebanon is located in the Western Mediterranean and is at the crossroads of the Mediterranean Basin and the Arabian hinterland. The country was the home of the Canaanites/Phoenicians and their kingdoms, a time that marked a beginning of Lebanon's strong maritime culture. Since the end of the fifteen year Civil War in 1990, prosperity has quickly come back to Lebanon, and can clearly be seen through the growing number of private luxury vessels and ever-groring marinas.
The shipping industry is a major contributor to the Lebanese economy, having Lebanon's capital city, Beirut, as its major port from where distribution takes place to the Middle East region. The Port of Beirut's growth in recent years has made Lebanon one of the leading Middle Eastern countries in the maritime industry. It is currently is one of the largest and busiest ports on the Eastern Mediterranean.
Mediterranean Fuels is proud to supply only the finest marine fuels and lubricants throughout Lebanon and the rest of the Mediterranean Basin. Mediterranean Fuels stocks and distributes fuels and lubricants to customers who operate fishing boats, ocean-going yachts, cruise ships, cargo ships, and research vessels. In order to keep up with the demands of these vessels, Mediterranean Fuels has set up key hubs in all main ports in Lebanon.
In addition to marine fuels and lubricants, Mediterranean Fuels also supplies Intermediate Fuel Oil (IFO, RME180, & RMG380), Marine Gas Oil (MGO, bunker fuel), and Jet Fuel. We stand ready to assist our customer in all major ports across the Mediterranean.
